Processing and purposes

Depending on the function, RefuelAhead processes only the data necessary for delivery, local search, security, price alerts, push, routing and communication.

• Hosting via Render with technically necessary connection and request data.
• City/postcode search via Nominatim / OpenStreetMap Foundation; if location permission is granted, coordinates may be processed for local search and reverse geocoding.
• Maps load OpenStreetMap tiles, so your browser connects to their tile servers.
• Price targets can be stored under a pseudonymous browser/device ID. Web Push is activated only after your action and browser/OS permission.
• Optional road routing uses Mapbox Directions API only when requested and transmits the necessary origin/destination coordinates.
• Functional Local Storage may store litres, radius, consumption, detour, device ID and local alert values.
• Emails to contact@refuelahead.eu are processed via Namecheap Private Email.

Legal bases

Where processing is necessary for a requested function or secure operation, it generally relies on GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); contract-related enquiries also on Art. 6(1)(b). Voluntary Web Push is activated on the basis of consent under Art. 6(1)(a).

Recipients and international transfers

Depending on the function, Render, Namecheap, OpenStreetMap/OSMF and, for optional routing, Mapbox may be involved. Transfers outside the EU/EEA take place only under GDPR Chapter V and applicable safeguards.

Retention

Data is kept only as long as necessary or legally required. Price targets and push subscriptions currently have a technical lifetime of up to 180 days. Routing caches and rate-limit counters are discarded much earlier. Local browser data remains until deleted in the browser.

Your rights

Subject to legal requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Consent may be withdrawn for the future at any time. Contact: contact@refuelahead.eu.

Right to complain

You may lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, in particular at your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Automated decisions

RefuelAhead currently makes no solely automated decision about you with legal or similarly significant effect. Price forecasts concern fuel/charging prices and not a legal assessment of you.
